Novaescla the Dog needs a home
Meet Novaescla. She is a 3 month old German Shepherd/ Akita mix. She is pretty close to perfect in her foster moms eyes. She loves everyone, wants to be by your side, is quite (unless you leave the room without her), almost house trained and working on kennel training.
She is looking for a very special adopter! Novaescla has Addison’s Disease. This is a very treatable illness but will need an adopter that has the time to look after her, as well as understand the financial responsibility. As she grows, she will need vet visits more often due to her weight change. At these appointments she will need blood work drawn every couple weeks and then an injection monthly. She also takes a small dose of prednisone daily. We are estimating these treatments may be approximately 1500-2000 the first year. After her weight stabilizes, the costs will go down but the adopter will still want to be prepared for on going medical care and medications.
